Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of LifeVaulto native mobile applications.

Last updated: 20 May 2026

1. Acceptance and Scope

By downloading or using LifeVaulto on iOS or Android, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms apply to native-app features including vault creation, local storage, biometric unlock, vault item management, and device-to-device vault connection features.

2. Local-First Security Model

LifeVaulto is designed for local-first storage. Vault records are stored on your device using the app's local database and encryption workflow.

You acknowledge that device compromise, weak device passcode settings, or unauthorized biometric enrollment may impact your security.

3. Biometric Authentication

Certain app actions require supported biometric hardware and enrollment (for example: Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or equivalent platform authentication).

Biometric templates are managed by your device OS. LifeVaulto does not receive or store raw biometric images.

4. Shared and Connected Vault Features

LifeVaulto may provide vault connection and share workflows between devices. You are responsible for sharing connection codes only with trusted people.

Connected-vault and share access behavior may include operational limits in the app experience (for example, limits on shared vault relationships).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the app for unlawful activity, abuse of network/device resources, reverse engineering where prohibited by law, or attempts to bypass security controls.

6. Data Loss and Backups

Because data is local-first, deleting the app, clearing app data, factory-resetting a device, or loss/damage of a device may cause permanent loss of vault data.

You are responsible for your own backup and recovery strategy, where supported by your device and operational requirements.

7. Updates and Feature Changes

We may release updates, security patches, and feature changes at any time. Some features may vary by app version, platform, or operating-system capability.

8. Disclaimer and Liability

LifeVaulto is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or business continuity arising from use of the app.
